In this Metabolic Mind interview, Dr. Phillips discusses his study, Randomized crossover trial of a modified ketogenic diet in Alzheimer’s disease [PubMed Abstract] [Full-Text HTML] [Full-Text PDF]. Alzheimers Res Ther. 2021 Feb 23;13(1):51. doi: 10.1186/s13195-021-00783-x.
In this interview, Dr. Phillips states that his results would have been even more positive had the study run longer, say six months instead of three months. He also states that if the subjects had been on intermitent fasting, say 16 hours a day, the study might have been more positive. He is working on organizing a trial that includes those variables.
