Needle Cricothyroidotomy – YouTube.

My comment: Outstanding! The 9th edition (2012) of ATLS Student Course Manual recommends using a 12-  or 14-gauge, 8.5 cm  over-the-needle catheter (p 59). Inchildren, it recommends a 16- to 18-gauge catheter (p 45).The manual further states: “The cannula is then connected to oxygen at 15 L/min (40 to 50 psi) with a Y-connector or a side hole cut in the tubing between the oxygen source and the plastic cannula (p 45).”
