In this video Dr. Turner outlines a structured fourteen week program to educate physicians in the use of bedside ultrasound. She then documents the excellent results of the program. The program trains critical care fellows and, I believe, hospitalists.
I believe that this formal structured training program might be of use to office based primary care physicians (family physicians, pediatricians, and internists). I will be looking for primary care training programs in bedside ultrasound and will post what I find.
