Jan 24, 2023How To Scan The Spleen On Ultrasound | Probe Positioning | Transducer Placement | Abdominal USG Roll the patient 45 degrees onto the right side. Supine position can also be used. Place the probe in the 9th intercostal space at the anterior axillary line. Move the probe anteriorly and posteriorly to thoroughly scan the spleen in longitudinal plane. Rotate the probe 90 degrees anticlockwise to scan the spleen in transverse view. Move the probe anteriorly and posteriorly to thoroughly scan the spleen.
