Primary Care Medical Center is locally owned by 10 physicains equally who have made Murray their home for decades. They are active within the community in many ways including leadership roles on boards, other businesses, charities, and their churches. They pay their taxes locally and in the state of Kentucky. This supports our schools and our community in many ways beyond just their delivery of health care.
The practice over the years has been featured in many national magazines and publications for their innovative and advanced medical service offerings. Our physcians are in frequent contact with regional and national leaders in healthcare to insure that our local citizens and neighbors receive the latest care available anywhere. Our patients are also some of the first in the USA to benefit from this involvement.
About Primary Care Medical Center
Primary Care Medical Center has continued to grow and provide new services to the people of Southwestern Kentucky and Northwestern Tennessee. In 2000, they were one of the first and only primary care offices to go to seven day a week service plus nights. They also were one of the first practices to go to fully digital medical records. In 2003, Dr. Kim Burch, a Pediatrician was brought in to the practice providing addition pediatric care to the community. In early 2007, Dr Richard Blalock joined Primary Care Medical Center bringing 25 years experience as an Internal Medicine Physician working in the Murray area. Dr Blalock is the team physician for the Murray Independent School system and Murray State University.
In October 2007, Primary Care Medical Center opened its doors to its new state of the art facility. This expansion has made it possible for Obstetrics and Gynecology services, additional imaging services, including CT and MRI. Dr. Karla Turley joined Primary Care Medical Center in 2015 and now provides the community with exceptional women’s health services. To provide the quality and timely care this community deserves, Primary Care Medical Center has continued to grow and in 2010 added Dr. Emily Gupton, a family practitioner.

Primary Care Medical Center also provides specialty services including cardiology. We are also a comprehensive outpatient medical center offering laboratory and imaging services, with extended hours including nights and weekends.
