My 2018 ACLS Review – Ultrasound guided CPR Parts 1 And 2 From UltrasoundPodcast.com

In a couple of weeks, I’ll be taking my BLS and ACLS recertification courses. And it is required that the learner carefully review the 2016 ACLS Manual and complete the Pretest prior to the course.

In addition, I like to review the resources in my blog about Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

So I’ve just reviewed the following 2 vidcasts from the awesome site, UltrasoundPodcast.com:

(1) Ultrasound Guided CPR Part 1. How We’re Doing It Wrong. #foamed from UltrasoundPodcast.com, December 4, 2014.

(2) US-guided CPR Part 2. TEE & US=New pulse check. Also, Resus Leadership Academy with @emcrit & @CriticalCareNow from UltrasoundPodcast.com, December 18, 2014.

And finally be sure and check out Resource (4) below for a number of excellent articles on POCUS in CPR and Critical Care.

Additional Resources:

(1) Focused echocardiographic evaluation in resuscitation management: concept of an advanced life support-conformed algorithm [PubMed Abstract] [Full Text HTML] [Full Text PDF]. Crit Care Med. 2007 May;35(5 Suppl):S150-61.

(2) List of 37 articles (all free open source) on the use of echo (POCUS) in CPR and in Critical Care.
